How Undohs works

Last updated 9 October 2026

Undohs is a virtual pet that grows when you look after yourself. Move, eat well and rest in real life, tell your Undoh about it, and watch it hatch, grow up and evolve. It's free, has no ads, and your pet never dies.

1. Make an account and pick an egg

Sign up with your email or Google account, then pick one of four eggs, name your Undoh and choose who it's for: Kid, Teen or Adult. Child device profiles are created by an adult using a free link or QR code from the Family dashboard, and always use Kid mode. Teen is a display setting, not a parent-managed child login: it has nutrients without calories, ordinary friend requests and shop access. The egg sets your pet's look and theme. Every egg can log every habit.

2. Check in your healthy habits

Tap a habit when you've done it. Each one fills one of your pet's three bars and earns XP:

Each habit counts once per day, so it's about small daily steps, not tapping as fast as you can.

3. Keep three bars happy

The bars slowly drop over time, so your Undoh looks forward to seeing you each day. If you miss a few days it gets sleepy, never sick, and it gives you a welcome-back bonus when you return.

4. Level up and evolve

Every 100 XP is a new level. Your Undoh changes as it grows:

5. Snap a meal

Take a photo of your plate and your Undoh tells you what it spotted, what's great about it, and one small idea for next time. Each food gets a rating, and the meal fills your Nourish bar. Adults also see estimated calories and nutrients, teens see nutrients without calories, and kids see only friendly ratings with no numbers.

The photo is checked by AI, and nutrient numbers come from the USDA food database. Portion sizes are guessed from the photo, so numbers are estimates and the AI can sometimes mistake one food for another. If it gets something wrong, try another photo from a different angle, or just check in the habit yourself. It's general wellbeing info, not medical or diet advice. Undohs does not save photos in its app database or share them with friends or family, but the AI service receives them for processing; its logging and retention are separate from our app storage. See our Privacy Notice for details.

6. Do a quick workout

Pick 3, 5, 10 or 15 minutes and follow along. A new move appears every 40 seconds with a countdown ring. Finishing gives your pet a big Energy boost and lots of XP.

7. Friends and invites

Everyone has a friend code. Add friends to see each other's pets, levels and streaks. Invite someone with your link and you both get +50 XP when they join. Kids can only have friends their parent approves — see For parents.

8. Free vs. extras

Every health feature is free: habits, meal photos, workouts, reminders, friends and evolution. Child setup links, the parent dashboard and child friend approvals are free too. Optional extras for grown-ups are cosmetic only: Undoh Plus and Undoh Family unlock styles and animations for your pet, and seasonal packs add themed looks you keep forever. Nothing paid makes your pet grow faster, and kids never see the shop.

9. Put Undohs on your home screen

Undohs runs in your phone's web browser, so there's nothing to download from an app store. Adding it to your home screen makes it open full-screen like an app.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Android (Chrome)

10. Reminders

Turn on reminders in the app's settings and your Undoh will nudge you at good times, like a water or bedtime reminder. It skips reminders for things you've already done today, and uses your phone's time zone.

Reminders are sent about once an hour, so they may arrive a little after the exact time.
